About R-32 Refrigerant

R-32 is a single-component HFC refrigerant widely used in modern air-conditioning and heat-pump equipment. Compared with R-410A, R-32 offers a lower global warming potential while providing strong thermodynamic and heat-transfer performance in equipment specifically designed for its use.

R-32 has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and is increasingly used in next-generation HVAC equipment as the industry transitions toward lower-GWP refrigerants.

R-32 is not a universal retrofit refrigerant and should only be charged into equipment specifically designed, approved, and rated for R-32.
